What's new in the Automation Builder?
Automatically upload static documents and turn them into data-rich ones!
- Upload any pre-signed file (for example, your legacy or vendor contracts) to Contractbook and turn them into native data-enriched ones directly in the automation builder.
- All uploaded documents will be scanned with a special OCR tool, and dates will be suggested for complete reminder task automation.
- Add any additional actions and auto-populate your contracts with data and metadata fields, tasks, and more.
- We recommend combing that step with the "transform data" automation action for additional formatting and calculations based on your uploaded contract's data.

Choose between eight "transform data" actions in all your automations.
- With the "transform data" automation action, you can use any of the following transform types:
- Date formatting: format dates using one of the available formats.
- Date calculation: calculate a new future or past date based on the input data.
- Math formula: Use spreadsheet-style formulas to perform various calculations on the input data.
- Split by: Split the input data by the specific character or text.
- Extract email: Find and extract an email from the input data.
- Find and replace: Find text in the input data and replace it with different text.
- Extract number: Find and extract a number from the input data.
- Lookup table: define lookup tables for any number of variables.
Start your automations when any of your data field dates are reached.
Trigger the creation of an approval task in a drafted contract upon the negotiation date being reached.
Automate the creation of a renewal reminder after a renewal date data field value is reached.
- Automate any process based on the reached date in data and metadata fields.
Create new data or metadata fields automatically!
- Enrich your documents by:
- Automatically updating the values of existing data and metadata fields.
- Automatically adding new fields to selected documents.
- Keeping metadata of signed contracts in sync with your CRM deals.
- Automatically creating metadata fields on uploaded documents.
